Yesterday I sat along the shores of the river,
as the horizon slowly swallowed the sun.
Birds flee from the orange lucidity,
and the sky slightly became dun.
The orchestra in my jeans pocket,
woke up the fireflies from under my skin.
They made me dream about our futures,
and took my stomach for a spin.
Nor the coldness of the september winds,
nor the soreness of my throat,
could keep me from singing a song,
about the future plans we wrote.
Love, you've got my head in the clouds. ♥
